Welcome to the “Mile High City” of Denver, the quaint cityscape of Boulder and the beautiful Flat Iron mountains of Broomfield! Welby Gardens — June 24 (free). Welby Gardens is a nearby garden center that serves as another host of the All-America Selections flower trials. During ASTA’s visit to Broomfield, Welby Gardens has offered to set up special displays of the award-winning flowers and vegetables for our group to enjoy. ASTA attendees are welcome to stop by on the morning of June 24 to view these special displays and visit with their host, Al Gerace, owner. Colorado Music Festival — June 24 - Aug. 3 ($15 - $45). The Colorado Music Festival educates, entertains and challenges audiences of all ages by presenting classical music performed by extraordinary professional musicians from around the world. For six weeks each summer, CMF’s talented orchestra brings contemporary and traditional classical music to the historic Chautauqua Auditorium in Boulder. www.coloradomusicfest.org
Cherry Blossom Festival — June 23 & 24 (free). There is plenty to watch at the festival, including demonstrations on bonsai (miniature trees), shodo (calligraphy), ikebana (flower arrangement), and chanoyu (the tea ceremony). A variety of Asian-themed arts and crafts, textiles, and other unique merchandise is for sale in the marketplace of covered booths located south of the stage. www.tsdbt.org/cherryblossom
Colorado Crush vs. Dallas Desperados — June 25, 7:00 p.m. at the Pepsi Center. Come and see the excitement of Arena Football as the Colorado Crush take on the Dallas Desperados. www.ticketmaster.com
Cirque du Soleil: Corteo — June 22 - July 7 at the Pepsi Center. Corteo, which means ‘cortege’ in Italian, is a joyous procession, a festive parade imagined by a clown. The show brings together the passion of the actor with the grace and power of the acrobat to plunge the audience into a theatrical world of fun, comedy and spontaneity situated in a mysterious space between heaven and earth. www.pepsicenter.com or www.cirquedusoleil.com
Georgetown Look Historic Mining and Railroad Park — Ongoing, Monday through Friday for all seasons. Located 45 miles west of Denver on I-70 is the Georgetown Loop. An engineering marvel originally built in 1884, the railroad fulfilled the hopes of Georgetown citizens to become a prosperous settlement connected to Denver and points east. Downtown Aquarium — Open Sunday through Thursday 10am to 10pm, Friday and Saturday 10am to 11pm. Located in
downtown Denver the Aquarium offers several exciting programs. They include snorkeling with the fish, a sleep over amongst the

Molly Brown House Museum — Open Monday through Saturday 10am to 3:30 pm last tour and Sunday noon to 3:30 pm last tour. Located in Denver near Capitol Hill, the Molly Brown House Museum tells the real story of Molly Brown and separates the facts from the myths that developed around her. You will find that she is more fascinating than any tales made up about her. On June 27th there will be a film premiere of Molly Brown: the Biography of a Changing Nation, call for tickets in advance 720-891-4959. Denver Museum of Nature & Science — Open 7 days a week from 9am to 5 pm, located in City Park in Denver. The museum has lots to offer with the Gates Planetarium, IMAX movie theater and traveling exhibits. June 22nd is the first day of the Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition. Brown Palace Hotel — This historical hotel has been open every day since August 12, 1892 and has hosted every U.S. president since 1905, with the exception of Calvin Coolidge, and celebrities including The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Sarah, Duchess of York, and more. Founder Harry Cordes Brown was an influential figure in the development of the city of Denver, including the city’s first library and the State Capitol Building. Free historical tours are given at 2:00 p.m. every Saturday and Wednesday. www.brownpalace.com
Denver Art Museum — Open Tuesday & Thursday 10am to 5pm, Wednesday & Friday 10am to 10pm, Saturday & Sunday 9am to 5pm and closed on Monday. A wide range of art from Spanish Colonial to Textile to a temporary exhibit of Japanese Art. Located near Civic Center Park in Denver. Tickets to the Museum are free for children under 5, $5 for youth between 5 -18, $10 for seniors and $13 for adults. www.denverartmuseum.org
