spectacular kick-off event! The convention’s Welcome Reception
will offer you a “taste,” as well as the sights, sounds and signature
beverages of Tampa, Key West, Miami and the Everglades,
including a few surprises along the way! Join your colleagues to
begin our quasquicentennial convention in style at this fun and
sure to be memorable reception event.
Just for kids, travel to the Castillo
de San Marcos Fort (within the
overall reception space) for our
very own Pirates and Princesses
Party, featuring live appearances
by pirates and princesses you will
recognize, leading kids in fun, interactive activities that they will
love, including a pirate tutorial and princess makeovers! Be sure
to come dressed in your Florida resort wear or as your favorite
pirate or princess!

one! In honor of our 125th Anniversary, otherwise known as our
“quasquicentennial,” ASTA has brought our opening session to
new heights, offering a blockbuster presentation that will honor
our association’s rich history as well as prepare you for what is
to come in our future.
Featuring a variety of special twists and
turns, our featured keynote speaker, noted
author and environmental economist Bjorn
Lomborg, (and a very special announcement
and presentation on the new First the Seed
Foundation), among many other surprises,
this is an Opening Session not to be missed!
A gourmet breakfast will also be served at
this special opening session.
