Mad Hatter is a modern hybrid of the bishop's crown pod type, not the open-pollinated landrace.
Origin & history
An All-America Selections winner and one of the very few C. baccatum varieties to reach mainstream American seed racks. Carries the winged bishop's crown pod on a vigorous plant, sweet at the wings with mild heat near the seed.
