Origin & history

Bred by Michael Mazourek at Cornell and released in 2016: a habanero with the capsaicin bred completely out. The floral, tropical aroma of Capsicum chinense remains, entirely without heat, which makes it the clearest proof available that heat and flavor are separable traits.
