Chiltepin
Bailey Piquin is a domesticated piquin selection; chiltepin is the wild round-fruited form.
Origin & history
An NMSU release that domesticated the wild piquin: bred for a concentrated set and a pod that detaches cleanly, so a chile normally gathered by hand from wild stands could be machine harvested.
