NuMex Big Jim
Heritage Big Jim is a 2011 re-selection made because commercial Big Jim seed had drifted; the two are not interchangeable.
Origin & history
A re-selection of NuMex Big Jim made at the NMSU Chile Pepper Institute after decades of commercial seed drift had cost the original line its uniformity and much of its flavour. It is the same cultivar name restored, not a new variety, which is why the two must be kept apart in any seed record.
